The Fall meeting of the California Medieval History Seminar will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2009, from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm, in the Overseer's Room at the Huntington Library in San Marino. Lunch will be included. The following papers will be discussed:
Cost: The seminar is free to faculty and graduate students of California universities; others are welcome (provided space is available) but are asked to pay $25 to cover associated costs. Registration: Advance registration is required. To register, reply to this announcement or e-mail cmrs@humnet.ucla.edu.
The California Medieval History Seminar fosters intellectual exchange and acquaints its participants with medieval historical research currently underway in the state. Three times a year, the seminar gathers at the Huntington Library to discuss four research papers (two by faculty members, two by graduate students or recent Ph.D. recipients).
Advance registration for the seminar meetings is required. Papers are sent to registrants before the meeting so they may read the papers in advance and discuss them at the seminar. Speakers and paper topics are announced by email. To be added to the announcement list, contact the Center at cmrs@humnet.ucla.edu. Previous programs since 1995 are listed at www.cmrs.ucla.edu/programs/med_hist_sem_programs.html.
