Linda Jensen

Linda Jensen is a lecturer in the Department of Applied Linguistics and TESL. She has an MA from San Francisco State University and has been teaching ESL since 1975. Linda was a Fullright-Hayes Lecturer in Italy (1979-80), involved in teacher training. She has taught at San Francisco State, USC, and Santa Monica College, focusing on reading and EAP. Prior to coming to UCLA in 1988, she was in charge of ITA training at USC for several years. Linda supervises and teaches ESL 33C (an advanced multi-skills course) and ESL 107 (Advanced Reading and Vocabulary). She teaches teacher education courses as well including AL/TESL 101, 112/212, and 118/218. Her research interests are reading theory and practice, content-based instruction, teacher education and ITA training. She received the Luckman Distinguished Teacher Award in 1994.
