WHO IS WHO in Foreign Languages Susan Schaffer Susan Schaffer is a lecturer in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese where she also serves as the Lower Division Coordinator. She has a PhD (1981) from UCLA in Hispanic Languages and Literatures. Dr. Schaffer is the author of numerous articles and the advanced Spanish composition textbook, A manera de ensayo.
