Excerpts:
Click here to see a video about another important Roman villa: the so-called Villa of the Papyri (also known as the Villa of the Pisones) at Herculaneum on the Bay of Naples. The video features the J. Paul Getty Museum in Malibu, California, which was inspired in its design and decoration by the Herculaneum villa. We are grateful to the J. Paul Getty Museum for permission to make this video and to post it here. We are also grateful to the Donn Sigerson Foundation for sponsoring the video. This video is best viewed with a high-speed Internet connection (Broadband, DSL, etc.). A VHS videotape of the program is available from the M.S.O., UCLA Department of Classics, 100 Dodd Hall, 405 Hilgard Avenue, L.A., CA 90095-1474. Tel. (310) 825-4171. Please note that the J. Paul Getty Museum in Malibu is currently closed for restoration. We will post a notice here when it is open once again to the public
