Vacuna

Vacuna was a Sabine goddess with a ruined shrine near Horace's Villa (see Epistles 1.10.49). The site has never been found, but an inscription mentioning the Emperor Vespasian's restoration of a temple of Victory was found near Horace's Villa at Roccagiovine (CIL XIV.3485). According to the first-century B.C. Roman antiquarian Varro, Vacuna could be equated with several Roman deities, including Victory.
