Downloadable Files to Accompany the HAUSAR BAKA Videotape Set

From this site, you can download a full set of files to accompany the Hausar Baka 3-tape video set. The files are in PDF format and include all special fonts and color graphics. Once downloaded, they can be printed as hard copy. The files include the following:

• A Hausa transcript of all segments of the videotape set
• (In preparation) An English translation of each segment of the transcript
• A Hausa-English vocabulary list of all the words that occur in Hausar Baka with references to the segments where each word occurs
• A set of exercises that cover the equivalent of a first year university Hausa course plus exercises for additional selected segments. Each exercise includes

• Vocabulary for the segment
• References to the Hausa online grammar
• Grammatical explanations for the grammar focus of the exercises accompanying the segment
• Cultural discussion activities for the cultural focus of the segment
