The Center for Language, Interaction, and Culture Graduate Student Association (CLIC GSA) at UCLA is a student organization that promotes interdisciplinary work on the intersections of language, culture, and conversational activities. This year's members include graduate students from Anthropology, Applied Linguistics, East Asian Languages & Cultures, Education, Germanic Languages and Sociology.
Every other year we host a conference in conjunction with the UC Santa Barbara Language, Interaction, and Social Organization (LISO) graduate student group (who hosts the conference on the alternate years). We have also been known to run a speaker series and CLICshop gatherings, during which graduate students are able to discuss their research and receive feedback from both colleagues and faculty members.
Our membership is increasing every year, and we encourage any graduate students (and undergraduates) at UCLA interested in joining the group to contact us to find out information about meetings and events.
