The
UCLA Friends of Art History
is a volunteer and financial
support organization for the
UCLA Department of Art History
Friends
of Art History events provide opportunities to enrich your
knowledge of art history and to meet informally with faculty,
collectors and curators.
Events include lectures, conferences and symposia with distinguished
art historians from the department, alumni and visiting lecturers.
Private tours led by faculty and curators take you behind
the scene at galleries and museums, and give you access to
private collections.
Dear Friend:
We are delighted
to invite you to become a member of the UCLA Friends of Art
History. As a member, you will join students, faculty, alumni
and friends who are dedicated to advancing academic excellence
in UCLA's Department of Art History.
As the University
continues to sustain budget cuts and student fees rise, your
membership is of vital importance. Your support provides funding
for student and faculty research, graduate fellowships, seminar
and lecture programs, library acquisitions, and grants to
the Visual Resource Library.
Membership benefits
feature an exciting program of lectures, events, and gallery
walks offered especially for the Friends.
As Los Angeles
gains in prominence and recognition in the art world, the
UCLA Friends of Art History builds key linkages among scholars,
collectors, curators, artists, and the public.
We hope you will
join us. Thank you for your interest and your contribution.
Very truly yours,
Rita Rothman
