Two Presentations by Dr. Cathal Ó Háinle, Professor of Irish at Trinity College, Dublin

Monday, March 10, at FOUR, Rolfe 2310
"Ó Cadhain, Joyce, Molly Bloom and King James II," (a talk focused on the writings of one of the great Irish-language authors of the twentieth century, Máirtín Ó Cadháin)

Tuesday, March 11, at NOON, Rolfe 2310
"Bloody Hands—Lady Macbeth and an Irish Bardic Poem," (an examination of a famous Shakespearean motif and its possible Irish connection)

Dr. Ó Háinle, the Professor of Irish at Trinity since 1990, has published extensively on the Irish literary culture of the last four centuries. Among his special interests are the genre of autobiography, the works of Ó Cadháin, and literary connections between Ireland and its neighbors.
