Finding books:

The UCLA Library online catalog is the best place to search for books in our collection. The search options allow one to search exclusively for items held at the Clark Library. However, records for some items have yet to be added to the online catalog. As such, it may be necessary to check the printed card catalog at the library. If looking for English books, one may wish to consult the English Short Title Catalogue, Early English Books Online, or Eighteenth Century Collections Online (Note: these links will only work for authorized UC users).

Finding manuscripts and archival material:

Records for many of our manuscripts may be found in the UCLA Library online catalog. Others are still only available in the card catalog, though great progress is being made to make them accessible through the online catalog. For collections of manuscripts and archival materials (including those of Oscar Wilde and Eric Gill), see our page on the Online Archive of California. Check the Clog (Clark Library Blog) for notices as more finding aids go online. A guide to photographs of Oscar Wilde may be found here.
