Professor Haslam specializes in ancient Greek literature.
He is a papyrologist, and publishes new literary and
paraliterary papyri in The Oxyrhynchus Papyri series.
He makes available new accessions to the still expanding
corpus of literary texts, contextualizing them and
assessing their significance. Special areas of interest
include archaic Greek lyric, Homer, tragedy, and Hellenistic
poetry; also textual transmission, and literary criticism
and exegesis ancient and modern. He flits not freely
but widely in Latin as well as Greek Literature.
