DISQUALIFICATION
AND APPEAL OF DISQUALIFICATION
Failure to maintain
a grade-point average above 3.0, insufficient progress
toward the degree, or failure to achieve the required grade in the M.A. examination
may lead to termination from the program.
If a student is
deemed deficient in any of these respects by the Classics
faculty, he/she is notified by the Graduate Adviser
that failure to improve or correct deficiencies during
the following quarter will lead to termination from
the program. On being notified subsequently of termination,
the student may petition the Classics faculty for reconsideration,
and may similarly petition to retake an examination
after failing it twice.
