TIME-TO-DEGREE
Adequately prepared
students taking a normal course load (three courses
per quarter) are expected to attain the M.A. in six
quarters. Entering students whose initial level of
preparation is in certain ways inadequate will be allowed
one or two quarters to remedy deficiencies before embarking
on the regular M.A. program. Students serving as teaching
assistants (teaching assistantships are not usually
offered to first-year students) are permitted to count
the required course Classics 375 as one of the three
courses constituting the normal load per quarter.
