ADVISORS

At the beginning of each quarter, until advancement to candidacy, students consult the graduate advisor who assists in planning a program of study, discusses academic progress, and guides students toward the choice of an individual advisor as research interests dictate. After the written qualifying examinations are completed, the individual advisor shares responsibility for guidance; however, students must continue to submit each quarter's study list for the graduate advisor's approval.
