Founded in 1892 and chartered by Congress, the Academy is privately supported and offers pre- and postdoctoral artists and scholars in a wide variety of fields the opportunity to pursue their work in Rome. The Academy consists of two schools: the School of Classical Studies, and the School of Fine Arts. President of the Academy is Adele Chatfield-Taylor. |
