Audacity is a free, cross-platform sound editor (click here to download). For instructors who wish to record and/or edit voice recordings, we recommend this free software because it is fairly easy to use. There is an online reference guide and user's manual as well as some online tutorials.
It is important to note that for encoding sound files as MP3, you must download an MP3 encoder separately or convert files in iTunes.
