Introduction and Copyright : When posting material on their ecampus course websites, instructors should consider copyright and intellectual property laws and follow Educational Fair Use guidelines. Audio selections that fall within these guidelines may be made accessible as links from Ecampus course websites or compiled on a CD. Instructional Technology Consultants (ITCs) can help you digitize and process audio content.
Processing audio clips using Quicktime Pro and Media Cleaner:
- Importing and digitizing audio -- In the ITC lab, you can import and digitize audio from a CD, DVD, or audio cassette.
- Editing digital audio files -- Shortening or making an excerpt from a digital audio clip using either Audacity or Quicktime Pro.
- Processing (and Saving) Digital Audio Files and for Web-Streaming -- We process audio files in Media Cleaner Pro using special settings so that they may be streamed on your ecampus site, using both broadband (cable, fast DSL) and low-speed (56k modem, slow DSL) connections.
Podcasting: If you're interested in learning how to podcast audio content, consult OID's tutorial on podcasting from the
