This section introduces many of the software applications commonly used for teaching and research. There are instructions that explain how to get started using the software on your own. You can always request personal training from an ITC.

Additional Information -
Software Browser Plug-ins: If you are unable to open PDFs, audio, video or some other type of file, you may need to install a software plug-in (free software mini-program for viewing purposes) for that file type. If you already have the software on your computer that reads that file type, you may only need to help your browser find the software. Common plug-ins can be found on our Ecampus plug-in page, the Bruin-Online (BOL) software dowload pages or on the WebCT's plug-in download page.

Additional Help with Software Training: CLICC offers workshops and office hours on a variety of programs related to web development, including Dreamweaver, Photoshop, and iMovie. Office hours are open to all CLICC users who could be faculty, staff or students on a drop-by, first-come, first-served basis. CLICC prefers that users who need all the steps first attend one of the workshops and then fill in the gaps or have specific questions answered during the office hours. Assistance is limited to answering software questions, not helping with the full development of a website or project.
