Currently, the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Studies Program offers only one degree, an undergraduate minor. However, those interested in doing graduate work in LGBTS at UCLA may apply to the Women's Studies Graduate Program and concentrate their work on sexuality and gender. Students may also enroll in another department, program, or professional school at UCLA and then apply for a graduate concentration in Women's Studies to acquire expertise and a credential in Women's Studies/LGBTS in addition to the degree in their principal field. Graduate students already enrolled at UCLA may also apply for the Women's Studies graduate concentration.

Teaching Assistantships and Travel Grants
Every year the LGBT Studies Program accepts applications for two or three teaching assistantships for LGBTS M114, the Introduction to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Studies. The program also makes travel grants available to assist graduate students in their research or help them attend conferences where they can present their research.

Annual Queer Studies Conference
Every fall the LGBT Studies Program organizes a conference at which graduate students and faculty from around the country present research or other work, such as performance or film, in lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender studies, on queer topics, sexuality and gender. The conference was originally called "QGrad," and participation was limited to graduate students. Recently the conference has been expanded to include presentations by faculty scholars as well, but the focus still remains on graduate student work. Indeed, the inclusion of faculty presenters was motivated above all by the desire to make the conference more useful to grad students by fostering conversations and contacts between different scholarly generations. For links to the programs of previous conferences see past conferences.
