Position Announcement

The Department of Musicology at UCLA seeks a scholar of extraordinary promise or accomplishment for a tenure-track or tenured position beginning in Fall 2008. We seek candidates whose research specialties will enhance and complement the expertise of our current faculty, and whose teaching or mentoring activities demonstrate a strong commitment to the needs of disadvantaged populations.

The Musicological community at UCLA includes 10 faculty, 25-30 PhD students, 60 undergrads and 65 music history minors. For more information, follow the links to the left, or go directly to www.musicology.ucla.edu.

Letters of reference should address the applicant’s potential as a publishing scholar and provide evidence of successful teaching. To ensure full consideration, materials must be received by November 30, 2007. Ph.D. should be in hand by Spring 2008. Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications.
