Announces Search for Musa Sabi Chair in Iranian Studies"
The Department of Near Eastern Languages and Cultures at
the University of California, Los Angeles announces an open-rank,
tenure-track position for the Musa Sabi Chair in
Iranian Studies effective July 1, 2004. Candidates should hold a
Ph.D. degree, and display a high level of competence in Iranian
Languages and the literary traditions of the Islamic period.
Candidates will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses
in Iranian languages, literature, and civilization. Preference
will be given to candidates willing to participate in a variety of
interdisciplinary courses within the department. Applications
containing a curriculum vitae, a list of publications, and the names of
three referees should be directed to Chair of the Search Committee for
Iranian Studies, Department of Near Eastern Languages and Cultures,
