Emirler Site KM40
KM40 is the designation given by the survey team led by Elizabeth Carter
of UCLA to a large tell located at the midpoint of a narrow valley formed
by rocky outcrops which run east-west across the Karamanmarash Valley.
Emirler is a possible place of origin for the stela as it is the nearest
and largest Iron Age mound to the findspot of the stela. This
site has not been excavated but has been surveyed.
Map still needs to be scanned.
