UCLA PHILOSOPHY DEPARTMENT -- PLACEMENT
The Department of Philosophy supports students seeking professional positions through the services of its Placement Committee. The Committee arranges and supervises mock interviews, arranges a practice talk to its colloquium, and oversees the preparation and assembly of students’ dossiers. Placement Committee members travel to the meetings of the American Philosophical Association to provide support and advice for candidates being interviewed. Almost all of the students seeking placement in recent years have succeeded in finding academic positions.
