The regular faculty of the Department work primarily in the analytic tradition (broadly construed). Particular interests include the Philosophy of Mind, Philosophy of Psychology, Philosophy of Action, Philosophy of Language, Logic, Philosophy of Logic, Philosophy of Mathematics, Ethics, Moral Philosophy, Social and Political Philosophy, Philosophy of Law, Philosophy of Religion, History of Philosophy (esp Ancient Philosophy, Medieval Philosophy, Early Modern Philosophy, Modern Philosophy, Renaissance Philosophy, Kant, 20th Century Philosophy), History of Logic, Metaphysics and Epistemology,   Our course offerings are regularly broadened by visiting faculty or by UCLA faculty from other departments, who cover e.g. Feminist Philosophy, 19th Century Continental Philosophy, and other areas.
