The Romance Linguistics and Literature is an interdepartmental programs emphasizing modern linguistic and literary theories in the study of Romance languages. Linguistic and Literary studies of Romance Languages can be pursued independently or jointly. The Romance Linguistics and Literature Program offers students the opportunity to work in UCLA’s Romance language and literature departments of French, Italian, and Spanish and Portuguese, as well as the department of Linguistics, and/or to do interdisciplinary work in a variety of fields in Linguistics and Literature.
