The Romance Linguistics and Literature is an interdepartmental programs emphasizing modern linguistic and literary theories in the study of Romance languages. Linguistic and Literary studies of Romance Languages can be pursued independently or jointly.
The Romance Linguistics and Literature Program offers students the opportunity to work in UCLAs Romance language and literature departments of French, Italian, and Spanish
and Portuguese, as well as the department of Linguistics, and/or to do interdisciplinary work in a variety of fields in Linguistics and Literature. The Romance Linguistics and Literature Program draws upon the facilities and services of all of these UCLA departments; faculty from these departments actively participate in teaching, advising, and examining degree candidates.

The Program in Romance Linguistics and Literature is currently not accepting applications for the 2005-2006 academic year.
