Graduate Courses (200-299)

Scandinavian upper division courses are divided into six main groups: (1) Early Nordic literatures and cultures (2) Theory, Genres and Authors (3) Literary Periods (4) Scandinavian Cinema (5) Cultural Studies.

Numbering of graduate course follows that of upper division courses, with the shift in series from 100 to 200. Any of these courses can be offered exclusively as a graduate course.

All graduate students are required to take the 200A-B sequence, on theories and methods. Comparative Literature 200A-B may be substituted when Scandinavian 200A-B is not available.

All courses listed as upper division above, with the substitution of 200-series numbering. When taught in conjunction with an undergraduate course, these courses will be prefixed by "C".
