Minor in Russian Literature
Preparation includes a year of language study of the equivalent (Russian 3 or 13B or 15B or 10) and a choice of two courses from the following
- Russian 25W: Russian Novel in Translation
- Russian 30: Russian Literature and World Cinema
- Russian 90A: Introduction to Russian Civilization
- or Russian 90B: Russian Civilization in the Twentieth Century
- or Russian 90BW: Russian Civilization in the Twentieth Century with satisfaction of Letters and Science Writing II requirement
or
- Second year of language study of the equivalent ( Russian 4, 5, 6 or 20 ).
Requirements:
Five upper-division courses in Russian language or literature including at least two from the following:
- Russian 103A-103B-103C (Russian for Native and Near-Native Speakers)
- Russian 118: Literature of the Middle Ages and Englightenment
- Russian 119: The Golden Age and the Great Realists
- Russian 120: Literature and Revolution
- Russian 130A-130B-130C: Introduction to Analysis of Russian Poetry (in Russian)
- Russian 140A-140B-140C-140D: Introduction to Analysis of Russian Narrative Prose (in Russian)
- Russian 121 Russian Literature Now
