1970 - 2000

2000 has become a special year for anniversaries, jubilees and landmark celebrations. At Mester we are dedicating volume 29, our 30th anniversary issue, to a reflection upon the 20th-century development of the novel in Iberian and Latin American Literatures. We have welcome articles related to contemporary Spanish American, Brazilian, Peninsular Spanish or Portuguese authors.

In addition, we are having a special section dedicated to Mario Vargas Llosa, with an interview from his recent visit to UCLA. Articles related to his work will include those of various experts who contributed in a panel discussion during the author's visit.
