English Composition 30W: Writing in the Disciplines

Course Description: 
English Composition 30W prompts students to engage closely with a topic of significant interest. It deepens a students understanding of what it means to write within an academic discipline. Recent and proposed topics include "The Literature of Testimony"; "Representing Gender in the Mass Media"; "The Rhetoric of Justice."


Notes:
  • Prerequisites: Satisfaction of the Subject A requirement and the English Composition/Writing I requirement.
  • Completion of this course with a grade of C or better meets the College of Letters and Sciences "Writing II requirement.”
