What is Ecampus?
Ecampus is a suite of course websites for the Humanities Division, hosted and maintained by the Center for Digital Humanities. The underlying software for Ecampus is WebCT Campus Edition. All undergraduate courses in the Humanities division have a class website hosted on Ecampus; graduate course sites may also be created by instructor request. Instructors can use their class sites to make materials available to students electronically, hold virtual discussions, create interactive web assignments, and much more. If you are looking for information about My.UCLA (email class, class rosters, turnitin.com, gradebook or grade submission), please see the bottom of this page.
The Ecampus Help Pages
Ecampus Help Pages (FAQs) explain how to get started using your Ecampus course website and where to go for assistance. There are help pages for Instructors and Students as well as Copyright Information. The Ecampus Help Pages also have webforms for getting help, reporting problems, and requesting guest accounts.
Login Access
- Instructor: Instructors receive access to their course websites in advance of the quarter (usually 2-4 weeks, sometimes more).
Step-by-Step Login Instructions for Faculty
- Students: All regularly enrolled students are given access to Ecampus the morning after they enroll through URSA. Students who enroll after the quarter begins will also receive access the morning after they enroll.
Step-by-Step Login Instructions for Students
- TAs: Because TAs are imported at the same time as students, TAs requiring earlier access to their course websites may need to make a special request for early access.
Step-by-Step Login Instructions for TAs
- Auditing Students, Guests: Students not formally enrolled at UCLA or through UCLA Extension need to request a guest account for ecampus access after receiving permission from the instructor. We will then confirm with the instructor before creating a guest account. Instructions for logging on are essentially the same as for students, except the username and password will be assigned.

What is MyUCLA? - MyUCLA is separate from Ecampus
The UCLA's College Information Services hosts accounts for all UCLA students, staff and instructors in the MyUCLA system. Using MyUCLA, instructors can email the class, access class rosters, use Turnitin.com, and record and submit their course grades. These tools are only available through MyUCLA, not through Ecampus. The MyUCLA login is also different from the ecampus login. If you need assistance with MyUCLA, please contact the MyUCLA Help Desk for help or to schedule an appointment. Telephone support: 310.206.4525 Email: myucla@college.ucla.edu
