How to display colors in HTML from the W3 Consortium HTML tutorials.

 

Guide to Using Colors in HTML - This page from the University of Texas shows color swatches for the various hex coded HTML colors.


216 Web Safe Colors
- This color swatch page has two special qualities; it only shows the 216 "browser safe" colors, and you can switch from displaying the HTML code for a color you click on to the "decimal" or RGB notation for a clicked on color.

 

Background Images

 

How to handle a background image and/or background color from the W3 Consortium HTML tutorials.

 

Local background images - These are small images on the Humnet server for use as "tiled" backgrounds. You can either download it or copy its URL into the BACKGROUND attribute of the BODY tag.
