PowerPoint Tutorials
There are many good PowerPoint tutorials and "best practice" tips online:
OID Teaching Enhancement Center's Tutorials
UCLA Department of Molecular and Medical Pharmacology User Education Program (scroll down towards the bottom for the PowerPoint tutorials)
You can also request PowerPoint training from your ITC.
Posting PowerPoints on the Web
When you want to make your PowerPoint presentations available to your students online, we recommend that you convert them to web-based image galleries (because students may have problems viewing PowerPoint at home). Your ITC can assist with this process, or you can learn yourself by visiting Creating Image Galleries.
A free PowerPoint viewer is also available. Every Ecampus course website includes a link on the default template where students can download this free viewer (the blue box "Problems viewing your instructor's documents/links?").
Finally, please consider copyright and intellectual property before making materials widely available on the Internet. Posting them on password-protected course sites weighs in favor of fair use, but you should still consider your rights to use the material. For more information on copyright, visit Ecampus Copyright Considerations.
