Saving your clip using iMovie’s custom settings fig08
  1. Choose File > Share and click QuickTime [Fig. 8].
  2. Choose Expert Settings from the compression pop-up menu.
  3. If you're exporting selected clips in the Clip Viewer, check the "Share selected clips only" checkbox.
  4. Click Share.
  5. Type a name for your movie and choose where you want to save it.
  6. Choose "Movie to QuickTime Movie" from the Export pop-up menu and click Options [Fig. 9].
  7. In the Video Pane [Fig. 10], click Settings to open the Compression Settings window.

  8. Choose Sorenson Video 3 from the pop-up menu [Fig. 11].
  9. In the Quality pane, choose High.
  10. In the Motion pane, enter the settings appropriate for your purpose. (See the table for recommended settings.)
  11. Click OK to return to the Movie Settings window.
  12. In the Video pane (Fig. 10), click Size to open the Export Size Settings window [Fig. 12].
  13. Click "Use custom size" and enter the settings appropriate for your purpose. (See the table for recommended settings.)
  14. Click OK to close the Export Size Settings window, the click OK to close the Movie Settings window.
  15. In the Sound pane (Fig. 10), click Settings.
  16. Choose a compressor and enter the settings appropriate for your purpose [Fig. 13]. (See the table for recommended settings.)

  18. Click OK to return to the Movie Settings window.
  19. Click OK and Save to start exporting.
