The following pages were created at various times to help UCLA instructors use WordPress blogs in the classroom. As a result, some of the information might be redundant, and some will be irrelevant to those wishing to use an open WordPress blog that is not hosted as part of a UCLA class. Nevertheless, there should be plenty of basic information about using a WordPress blog that will be helpful to those new to blogging.

  1. Introduction to WordPress
Learn how to request your own blog from WordPress
  2. Blogging Basics
Intructions for basic WordPress skills such as adding a post, commenting on posts, uploading images, etc.
  3. Administrative Instructions
Basic help for those in charge of administering a WordPress blog. Includes help on editing the appearance of the blog, editing posts, managing users, etc.
  4. Registering to Use an Existing Blog
Existing WordPress blogs often require visitors to register if they wish to comment on the blog or add new posts. This page offers help for those wishing to register as a user of an existing blog.
  5. Accessing a WordPress Blog Hosted on a UCLA Class Page
When a UCLA class uses a WordPress blog as part of the class page, students might need these additional instructions for accessing and using the blog.
