Specific Discussion Groups - the following is a list of academic and popular e-mail and list-serve discussion groups related to the study of Late Antiquity.  To subscribe to a discussion group, the usual procedure is to send a message to the list address (given with each group below) with a one-line request: SUBSCRIBE (list name) your-first name your-last-name (for example SUBSCRIBE LT-ANTIQ John Smith).  Different procedures, where known, are listed for individual groups below.  Be aware, that the e-mail addresses listed below are for subscription to the discussion groups only.  Most groups have a different address for posting messages and for administrative support, which should be provided to you after subscription.  Subscription procedures often change, if you are unable to connect to any of the listed e-mail addresses below, please contact the MRG web master.

  • Ancient Mediterranean E-Mail List Archives - Archives of e-mail list serve updated each day at midnight.  Includes the following list serves: aegeanet, ancien-l, ane-l,byzans-l, classics-m, greekarch, lt-antiq, numism-l, romarch-l.
  • Medieval Academic Discussion Groups - List of discussion groups and list-serves for all subjects relating to Late Antiquity and the Middle Ages.  The most relevant individual groups are given above.
